Shaykh Aboo Salaah al-Afghaanee (may Allaah Preserve him)

Name:

Muhammad Hishaam bin La‘al Muhammad Taahiree (aka Aboo Salaah al-Afghaanee).

Occupation:
Imaam and Khateeb under the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Country of Kuwait.

 Education Level:

Doctorate in Islamic Creed.

 Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree from the Islamic University, College of Sharee‘ah, in 1420H.

Then, Master Degree from the same University, College of ad-Da‘wah and Usool-ud-Deen, in 1424H.

Then, Doctorate Degree from the same University and College, in 1429H. Major/Emphasis: Islamic Creed, Sects and Methodologies.

 His Mashaayikh:
Shaykh Aboo Salaah al-Afghaanee was asked about his Mashaayikh. So, he responded:

“My Mashaayikh who I took knowledge from, studied with and associated with are many, and all praise is for Allaah. And I have affirmed them in a particular place with me (i.e. wrote their names down in a special notebook with me). From the most famous among them and (who) have the most influence upon me, regarding the educational attainment and practical guidance, are:

1.  al-‘Allaamah al-Muhaddith ash-Shaykh ‘Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbaad al-Badr.

2.  al-‘Allaamah ash-Shaykh Saalih bin Sa‘d as-Suhaymee.

3.  al-Usoolee al-Faqeeh ash-Shaykh Husayn bin ‘Abdul-‘Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh.

4.  al-Usoolee al-Baari‘ ash-Shaykh ‘Ubayd bin ‘Abdullaah al-Jaabiree.

5.  ash-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah al-Ustaadh ad-Duktoor Ahmad bin ‘Atiyyah al-Ghaamdee.

6.  ash-Shaykh al-Ustaadh ad-Duktoor Ibraaheem bin ‘Aamir ar-Ruhaylee.

7.  ash-Shaykh al-Ustaadh ad-Duktoor Dayf-ullaah al-‘Umaree.

8.  ash-Shaykh al-Mu’addib ‘Abdullaah as-Sudays.

9.  ash-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah ad-Duktoor Falaah Ismaa‘eel.

10. ash-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah Shams-ud-Deen al-Afghaanee, may Allaah, the Most High, have Mercy upon him.

11.  ash-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah Ghulaam-ullaah Rahmatee.

12.  ash-Shaykh al-Waalid (my father), may Allaah, the Most High, have Mercy upon him.

13.  ash-Shaykh al-Muhaddith Muflih ar-Rasheedee.

And many others who have favors upon me and I have been affected by their knowledge. And from each one of them I took one, two or more of the sciences of knowledge. I ask Allaah to have Mercy on the dead among them, and to preserve the living ones and to benefit with them. If it were not for fear of prolonging, I would have mentioned all of them. However, referencing (pointing out a few) is sufficient.”

His Writings:

First: The Printed Ones:

      1. The Nobel Qur’aan and Its Status between the Salaf and Those Who Oppose Them (2 Volumes, Master Thesis).

      2. Presenting the People of the Qiblah, the Rulings of the Qublah (Kiss).

      3. Bringing the Slaves’ Attention to (The Correct) Pronunciation of the “Daad.”

      4. Confirmation of the Imaams of the Da‘wah That Opposes the Methodology of the Khawaarij and Nullifies It. Doctoral Thesis, which was debated by ash-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah ‘Abdul-‘Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh, the Grand Muftee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

      5. Furnishing The Grateful with the Contents of Shaykh-ul-Islam the Imaam Ibn Tayymiyah’s Books Pertaining to the Sciences of the Qur’aan. Coauthored with ash-Shaykh al-‘Allaamah ‘Ubayd bin ‘Abdullaah al-Jaabiree.

      1. Springs of Gratitude Regarding the Sciences of the Qur’aan for az-Zarqaanee. By way of verifying the text and studying it with ash-Shaykh al-Ustaadh ad-Duktoor Muhammad bin ‘Abdur-Rahmaan al-Khumayyis.

      2. The Beginning for the Seeker of Benefit and the Useful Conclusion Regarding the Explanation of the Book of Tawheed. Coauthored with ash-Shaykh al-Ustaadh ad-Duktoor Muhammad bin ‘Abdur-Rahmaan al-Khumayyis.

Also, the Shaykh has some hand written materials, which we ask Allaah to facilitate their printing.
